Consuelo Vanderbilt at Blenheim: Marriage, Money, and the Cost of a Title

I filmed this at Blenheim a couple of years ago, during a period when I was spending long days immersed in Consuelo’s world — walking the rooms, reading the letters, and trying to understand what it really meant to arrive in England as a young American woman with a fortune large enough to save a ducal house, but not enough to protect yourself.

I’ve kept this piece back until now, because it feels most at home here — alongside the slower conversations, the context, and the time to sit with it properly. I loved making this — I hope you enjoy watching it. xx Julie
